Jewelry Care

Gold Plated Brass

18k gold plated brass series uses vacuum electroplating, with a thickness exceeding three layers, providing a more durable color retention and better luster. You don't need to worry about removing the jewelry when near water, but we recommend limiting prolonged exposure to water to extend the lifespan of the jewelry.

When you are not wearing the jewelry, it is recommended to store them separately in the original transparent crystal bags from Hemman to maintain their shine and extend their lifespan.

925 Sterling Sliver

The 925 silver pins are relatively soft and prone to deformation. Therefore, when removing the earplugs, be careful with the force you apply to avoid breaking the pins and to prevent damage.

925 silver may oxidize with prolonged wear or improper care, but it can be easily restored with a silver polishing cloth. To maintain its color and extend its lifespan, store the jewelry separately in Hemman transparent crystal bags when not in use, minimizing exposure to air.

Freshwater Pearl

Natural pearls have tiny pores on their surface that can trap oil and dirt, leading to discoloration and yellowing. Therefore, when wearing them, be mindful to keep them away from oils and contaminants.

If the pearls have yellowed, you can try soaking them in a 1%-5% diluted hydrochloric acid or hydrogen peroxide solution for 10-15 seconds. As bubbles form, remove them and gently wipe with a soft, clean cloth.

Pearls are not very hard and can be easily scratched. Therefore, avoid storing them with hard metals or gemstones to prevent scratches. It is recommended to store them separately.
